Turkey in Bible Prophecy

Look for: Javan, Magog, Assyria, Asia

Turkey has erupted and Christians around the world are now looking for answers. Some ministries like this one have been teaching Turkey’s role in Bible Prophecy for years. The fact is, all we have to do is look at the map. Western, Central and Southern Turkey are all explicitly shown to us if we know what those lands were called.

​ Prophecy series 1 – The land of the coming great enemy of Israel, the Antichrist. Isaiah 10, 19, 31, 52, Micah 5 – land of the Assyrian

​The lands of the Assyrians covers 3 modern nations: Northern Iraq, Northern Syria and Southern Turkey.

Bible Atlases do not comport with the 20th century invention of the man Gog coming from the land of Russia. Magog – along with Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, Togarmah and Lud – are all in modern day Turkey. Central Turkey has been identified as the home that leads the final invasion of Israel during the Great Tribulation.

Prophecy series 3 – the realm of Javan plays the central role in and in fact lead the formation of the final Beast empire who makes then breaks peace with Jerusalem. ​Daniel 7 – the Leopard with 4 heads and 4 wings Daniel 8 –  Javan the Goat, 1 kingdom becomes 4 Daniel 11 – the Realm of Javan, broken into 4: King of the North Zechariah 9 – the sons of Javan vs sons of Zion

Javan is an alien term to most Christians, yet it is the key to understanding the continual focus on Western Turkey in prophecy. Javan was a grandson of Noah and is known to have settled the “coastlands” IE on the Aegean sea. It has been translated as “Greece” in your Bible mostly because of the mistaken assumption that it refers to the past empire of Alexander the Great of Macedonia. But none of those chapters in Daniel or Zechariah refers to the past. The often mysterious “King of the North” is revealed as coming from the Turkish lands to subdue the West, East and South. His bloodiest campaign will be in subduing the “King of the South” revealed as Egypt (see also Isaiah 19). Some of Jesus’ most famous words are His warning of “Kingdom against Kingdom” as a sign of His coming, just before the Abomination Of Desolation. Read a full study of that topic HERE.

Acts 19 is an amazing revelation of what we are seeing today and how the Beast Kingdom will operate. Read it and see just how many parallels there are to Islam. As as the maps show, Ephesus is squarely in “Asia” – Western Turkey. To this day, the entire land mass the nation of Turkey occupies is called “Asia Minor”.

Then we have Jesus Himself pointing us to that area in Revelation 2 and 3. Amazingly, He tells us where Satan’s earthly throne is – Pergamos – in Turkey. That is critical to Prophecy because that Throne is mentioned again in Revelation 13 when Satan gives it to the Beast Kingdom. Immediately we are told that Beast has the body of a Leopard – which brings us right back to Daniel 7, 8 and 11. The Bear and Lion which join with it are simply the lands of Persia (Iran) and Babylon (Iraq/Syria).

And so with this knowledge, we can clearly see the “mysterious” 7th Kingdom – that revives and is the 8th – comes after Rome. It just so happens the Empire to defeat Rome in and take its capital at Constantinople was also in the nation we call Turkey. It was re-named Istanbul by the Ottoman Empire. The Caliphate that was wounded in 1923 is now reviving. ISIS is only step 1 – the Lion of Babylon. By the time the Leopard asserts its claim on the Caliphate, it will unite 10 Kings and make peace with Israel. Then Daniel’s 70th week will begin.
