It is Friday night. My time anyways here in the East Coast of the United States. Time for the Rapture Talk. Yay. Special edition of Unsealed Podcast here at Wings of the Eagle is live, six thirty p.m. here where I am. No matter where it is, where you are, please say hello. And it's just been a really weird kind of couple days and haven't had a chance to do things normally. So here we are. You've surely heard about it. If you're in Christian land at all, whether you're on social media regularly or not, you've probably... Are tuned in to somebody who's said or been around folks who are involved with this topic and maybe even believe it or have come across it in one way or another. The rapture. I want to hear your views on it. I want to hear what you think. I want to hear what you've heard. September is a big month. This month is apparently it. And we're here now. We are here. It's September fifth. So time's a wasting. Right? Time's a ticking. So let's do this. I'm almost fifty years old now. I'll be fifty next month. If there is a next month. Hey, Paula. If you're serious about it, if you really want to study this, and if you know that the Bible is your source, and God is really in control, and He knows what He's talking about, and that's where we get our info from, I hope we all agree on that. of course we do. And, um, it's a, it's a really nice way to get some, get some info. Okay. So please see the description box. It's not hyperventilating. It's not, um, you know, having dreams and visions. And I dreamt of the rapture last night kind of stuff. This is scripture teaching and going through what it actually says, for example, and you're right, Paul, it does happen about this time every year. Um, let me tell you the reason why if you don't know reason being is because there's a pretty good reason for it um every year is expected I remember when the eighty-eight reasons happened or you're you're going way back now eighty-eight reasons the rapture will happen in nineteen eighty-eight well was a book that came out in I guess it must have been nineteen eighty seven or six thereabouts right that really scared a lot of people into buying it because oh my gosh what is this and um it scared a whole generation of people into thinking that it's going to happen next year the year after you know we're really really close to it and the bible says it's going to happen according to this author and we got to get ready and we're going to be gone disappeared and my kids aren't going to or whatever And so, yeah, that was a big deal. And the point is, what's the September issue is or why do people always are looking at it is there's a decent reason. The Hebrew calendar or the Jewish calendar, biblical calendar, you might know of basically if you grew up in America, especially in the New York area like I did, you get Jewish holidays off. You get Jewish holidays off in school. Rosh Hashanah was one of them. Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, Passover, that kind of aligned with Easter, so you never really noticed that one. But yeah, we always got Rosh Hashanah off right away in the beginning of the school year. It's, you know, under September, mid-September, somewhere around there. Like, oh, boom. Sweet. Thanks, Jews. So I always knew about it. But that's called the, colloquially, the Feast of Trumpets. Because Rosh Hashanah means first of the year, right? You announce the new year, right? with a trumpet blast, right? This goes back to the Torah, to the Old Testament, the books of Moses and things in Leviticus. And it tells you this is one of the feast days, the holidays, the holy days, the special Sabbath that you would celebrate as part of the year, the cycle every year for Israel, for the nation, the people of Israel. And it would basically occur in September where this time known as Rosh Hashanah would occur. So it was basically in September and it happened with a trumpet. And now we know in the New Testament, if we're Christians, we read like in Paul's letters, And Jesus mentioned similar things, and then Revelation mentions trumpets as well. So now we have, like Paul explicitly saying, there's a sound of a trumpet, and the dead in Christ will rise, and the Lord will come with a trumpet. And like, oh, wait a minute now, there's some kind of connection with maybe the feast of trumpets and the return of Jesus. So now we're thinking, okay, this is when he's coming back, and now we're conflating trumpets. or combining the ideas, mixing together or separating the ideas of the return of Jesus from this event called the resurrection. And we think now, wait, they're actually not the same event. They're actually different events. And this whole different eschatology has risen up over a century and a half or whatever, two hundred or two hundred years. Anyway, so the reason why September is looked at in a way of the rapture month is there's reasons. But for it to happen all the time just because it's September, well... Okay, so I do want to hear from folks who think it's going to happen this month. So please, I do want to hear from you. If you're here, please say so and tell me why you think that. But what I do want to share is one of the links below just to show you what you can find. One of the free resources that you're going to find at those links is a PDF link. Okay, this is a full teaching note document with all and I mean all of the whoops, I don't want to make it too small there. All of the incidents. where the rapture event is mentioned not just one sentence we shall all be changed at the last trumpet and this is one of the times that the trumpet is mentioned this is why september is is brought up a lot for example first corinthians fifteen okay that's in there it goes over first thessalonians chapter four and then first thessalonians five rolls into that where Paul was quoting from, what he is referring to in those verses, in those places that you look at, and getting that context of Daniel chapter twelve is very important. What does the last trumpet mean that it's mentioned in other places, like Revelation chapter ten, chapter eleven, Joshua, remember there's seven trumpets in the book of Joshua as well, what happens in first Thessalonians four at the last or seventh trumpet and in Daniel at the end of the process. Anyway, okay, then you go through and you look at this phrase of the resurrection and where that occurs. And we look at where Revelation talks about resurrections for sure. And when does that happen? And Jesus talks about it in John. And now because resurrection is tied to the rapture event in first Corinthians, So let's study this topic out. Okay, so you've got all the Scripture on resurrection, and when does that occur? First resurrection, again, let's study that out. When does it happen? etc um there's a verse that in revelation three ten it says I will keep you from the hour of temptation or testing that will come upon the whole world and this is used as a proof text for you know saying the rapture has to be at any moment anyway I just want to and this there's much more to it you can see all on the side there's many many slides of many many scriptures so we go through that It's free for you. Go ahead and grab that if you want. It's totally yours. Again, it's in the description on YouTube only. So it's all there for you. Just wanted to point that out. You can get it and keep it. Okay, let's see here. Paula says there are a number of things that need to happen. First, that's kind of a root cause issue right that's kind of cutting to the root of it um which is can a rapture happen this month well it can only happen if there's no other events that can that must happen before then right this is the this is what we would call imminency the the doctrine of imminency the word imminent means at any moment right at any time in other words nothing has to occur first it could happen today it could happen tomorrow it could happen right this second right now right now right now right now that's imminent it means nothing everything all the conditions have been met there's nothing else to come it could happen any moment That's imminent. It doesn't have to be the rapture issue. It could be any issue. Something that's imminent just means it could happen any day. Nothing else needs to happen first. The conditions are met. So that's a core dividing line. Is this event that when Jesus comes back, is Jesus coming back to get the church, whatever you believe about that, is Jesus coming back an imminent event or not? The church is divided on that. That's a core issue. Is he coming back? Yes, that is not a core issue. I mean, that core issue to Christianity, yes. If you believe Jesus is coming back, that, yes. If you don't believe he's coming back, you're not a Christian. I don't care what you want to call yourself or whatever. You're something else. If you don't believe, right, that's another discussion. But if you believe physical Jesus is actually physically returning, that is a tenet, that's a core belief of Christianity. Yes, you must believe that if you're a Christian, yes. But can he come tomorrow is the issue. And the rapture happening in September would require that. But if Paula is right, for example, if there are a number of things that must happen first, then it is not possible that he would return in September or at any moment. It can't be both. Bondservant says, even in the Jesus People time, this is back a few years ago, which our sister Bondservant was a part of the Jesus People movement. If you all remember your history, they made a movie about it. Even the Jesus People time, Larry Norman wrote, I wish we'd all been ready. I was taught the pre-trib from the beginning. Pre-trib meaning, that's just a way of um abbreviating it's a way of abbreviating the phrase pre-tribulational or pre-tribulation ism in other words it's the belief that jesus could come at any moment but more than that it's not to rule on the earth at any moment that's different Pre-tribulationalism teaches that, some people call it dispensationalism, it teaches that Jesus is coming at any moment, but not really coming back. He's actually going to rapture the Christians of the world, anyone who's a believing Christian on the earth right now, The theory says, this is what pre-trib belief is, that he would come at any moment and rapture us away to heaven. Just take us. We're gone. Poof. Our bodies are disappeared. We somehow disappeared. And we're in heaven now. We're not on the earth anymore. And we don't come back until seven years later. where the final seven years of the world, the age, play out without the church here. So that's what when bondservant or when you hear the term pre-trib, that's what it means. Speaking of the trumpet, it's being reported that the shofar... which is the ram's horn. That's the biblical trumpet. Well, there's silver trumpet as well, but only the priests had that, and you had to be super rich to even think about such things. The ram's horn is what shofar is, what you would be thinking of in the Bible term. It's being reported that shofar has been blown on the Temple Mount, so it's equated to a major sign for the rapture. That's stupid. I'm sorry. Who cares? What does that mean? Where's the scripture on that? I could take us what does that mean give me the chapter adverse on the shofar being blown on the temple mount meaning the return of the messiah is like what reported so I mean okay I don't know if I'm serving a reported aware some honestly if somebody did they did get arrested I think Even the Jewish police are not cool with that. When I went up there, maybe some of you have been there as well. When I went to the Temple Mount, it was security central, man. You had to go. The Jews patted you down. They would not let you go up there with anything in your pockets, literally nothing. They made the... they made because of the muslims frankly they made a girl a young woman in our um tour group in our party put on longer pants she had shorts on and they weren't short shorts or anything they were very You can go anywhere in the church with those shorts. But that was above her knees. And so she had to put on, wrap something around the rest of her legs. Like that's how sensitive it is in there. So you ain't bringing a shofar in there. I mean, most things have gotten really weird. Okay. Jeff. Jeff M. What's up, Jeff? Jeff. In nineteen eighty nine, going back, taking it way back to nineteen eighty nine. I was I was a DJ once. I was listening intently to Marv Marvin Rosenthal. Yes, I know. I know him. well, not personally, Jewish Christian with his Israel My Glory cassette tapes. He left the ministry since he changed from pre-trib to pre-wrath. He started Zion's Hope. That's correct. He did. I'm just continuing with Jeff's comments here. Chuck Smith says, was a huge preacher proponent in the early eighties. Um, and also he says not imminent, according to Matthew, I concur. I concur. Jesus, the Lord, definitely gives us a bunch of signs and things that must transpire before he returns. Now, the pre-tribulational theory or mindset would say, well, they get around that by saying that's not talking about that. That's after the rapture. That's only... after all that stuff it's only for the jews who are left behind and all that stuff I mean I don't think that's valid at all but that's what they would say um yeah so martin rosenthal wrote a played a part in my personal um journey uh my understanding on this topic in the late nineties, after he wrote his book, The Pre-Wrath Rapture, I believe it was called, Jeff, correct me if I'm wrong on that, Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church, I believe it was called. And That was the first time I was in the mode of absorbing all the information. This is where your little autistic pastor really goes to town. When there's a subject that interests me, you absorb it all like the sponge. Everything's going in. um so at that time I it was library time or the internet was basically new it was not a lot of information and if you had a library in your town uh most people had one sort of close by I just checked out all the books on the topic and um everyone in there was from this pre-tribulational view on the on this prophecy subject every darn one I think there was one, um, a millennial, you know, like the, the, the traditional, um, a millennial, which is the Catholic and Orthodox and old Protestant view, which is very boring and stale and really vapid. Um, but the rest of it was just all pre tribunals. Like, well, I guess this is right. Cause they're all saying it. That was really my attitude. Well, they're all saying it. I guess it's right. They're all smart. MGAG was this lady. I don't know if she wrote anything else, but she had this giant book. It was like this big. It was all about the rapture, and there was proofs. Sorry for the air quotes, but there were quote-unquote proofs all in this thing how the rapture was going to happen. But she was in May. I believe she was saying it was May. No, September was all wrong. It's May. And I forget what year it was. It was nineteen ninety eight, I guess, thereabouts. It was right around this time that it was majorly like, wait a minute, people are setting up. dates and it's not so much the date setting wasn't okay getting us to do that but now we have a a proof now okay you're gonna be wrong either you're gonna be right or you're gonna be wrong and uh if you're wrong now I gotta throw this whole thing up anyway so marv rosenthal his book on pre-wrath rapture of the church really made me ask some legitimate questions of wait a minute okay, if I'm approaching this right, why am I assuming that if I know my history, if I know what the church has gone through for two thousand years, from Peter and Paul and the disciples all the way through the persecuted brothers in China and Africa and the Middle East today, getting their heads cut off, and suffering for Christ, why would we all of a sudden escape persecution in our rapture? What's that about? So that was a core. The Holy Spirit really punched me in the gut on that. It's like, look at that. Stay on that for a minute. Anyway, that book really helped me with starting my journey in that. Okay. Okay. Paula says, Jesus is coming back for not for a while. Well, we know, I mean, a while meaning... don't want to err on the other side either paula right it's like well we know it's at least seven years every every day that every day that the the final seven years don't begin we know it's at least coming from the post-tribulational view that I do I know that it's at least seven years away every day um man of lawlessness the antichrist figure right that that's not close either I mean that that that guy doesn't get his thing going until the last three and a half years so we're not there yet either uh terence transfer says oh my gosh now I wish you'd all been ready stuck in my head on a friday night I don't think I know that song and I guess I'm thankful that I don't Bonservant says, when I was in Israel, I went to the mount. We were told not to even look like we were praying. That's right. That's correct also. Yes, right. We were told you can't pray. Don't even look like it. Yeah, they said don't pray. I'm like, sure, buddy. That's when the old jersey comes out of me. And I prayed extra. I prayed extra. But... That's also the one time, maybe ever, that my iPhone overheated. I mean, it was hot out, but it wasn't surface of the sun hot. But my iPhone gave me a message that says, overheating, shutting down. Like, what the heck? I know this was a hot spot for spiritual warfare and all, but it really was that day. It was right, we were overlooking, literally overlooking the Eastern Gate. And if you know your scripture, that's a very poignant area. But yeah, you can't even pray. That's how paranoid they are. Sounds right about the book. Yeah, I'm getting behind here. Sorry. Antichrist has to sit himself in the temple in Jerusalem and claim himself to be God, and then will be abomination of desolation. That's correct. And for that to occur, you need a temple in Jerusalem, which does not exist right yet. Correct. right so to even get to to that point we need stuff to happen even before that happens right so yes we there are steps there are things that to go um my biggest worry where to go here it is my biggest worry or concern is that many are going to be devastated I think when it doesn't happen meaning the rapture event beforehand yeah no I think you're right um also many are told this promise that when they accept jesus it's prevalent I know that's right also definitely is true I know people in my life that that's true about yes they are told that and and um it's not good it's not good Especially if it's been a while now, right? Since they've accepted the Lord and obviously no rapture yet. And they see the world getting really, really bad. And like, hey, what's going on here? And maybe they're still... you know, holding on to this idea or this hope that it's going to come this September or next September or whatever, and they see the latest TikTok or YouTube profit or whatever declaring it's this month, eventually this patience is going to run out, and maybe their faith is going to be affected. You would hope not, but if it's connected, if it was connected... You know, in the beginning, it might still be. Yeah, it is very serious. I mean, faith and losing your faith and this is life and death stuff. Books and cassette tapes, the old school, the old ways, Jeffrey, the old ways. Yeah. Never listened to that song. Good, I will not. The seven years may be starting this year or next, question mark? Does that seem plausible to you? No. Well, not this year. Only because... only because of how I understand Daniel playing out, Daniel eight and eleven, and the machinations and distribution of how that region is to go to war with each other and divide up the land and the power and all that stuff that occurs. It doesn't mean it has to take for years and years or even months and months to occur. I don't believe that. It must, but it hasn't begun yet either. So for it to begin and end, and for the ten kings to rise, and for them to go through all those stuff and form the caliphate, their kingdom, and then to offer peace with Israel in the next three months is impossible. I don't see how that's possible. So this year is out in my view. Could I be mistaken? Of course. But I would not bet any money on that at all. Next year, it's possible. By the end of next year, I guess that's the only thing I might consider is this time next year maybe. At the earliest, Jeff. But again, that's just a guesstimation. I could try to sing that, but I'm not. And again, I'm not. I'm not. I was just making that up. I never heard it. Thank you, my brother. Always the sharing. Sharing is caring. Remember, we like likes. But sharing is truly caring. thank you brother seriously brian thanks man uh just as non-christians will ridicule christianity after we reach october and nothing happens it happens all the time how for those of you who are paying attention and watching this play out how prevalent is it I ignore it I really I really do um they you know I just make it a make it a policy not to not to pay attention um to rapture predictions but it is it is hot and heavy this time of year um bondservant it will also eventually play into the passage about uh in peter about scoffers asking where the sign of his coming is yeah everything has been the same since the beginning yeah yeah well mm-hmm that kind of is it kind of is now I mean we My only, not caution, my only addendum to that is this topic doesn't need to exist for that to happen either. Right? It's not a unique situation that that's going to exist just because years have passed. And Jesus hasn't come yet, and that's good enough. Right? That's just... Mockers, that's all you need. But anyway, yes, of course, it will feed it. But for Christians, believers is the real issue. Like there are believers today becoming mockers tomorrow. It's obviously a bigger problem because now your soul is in danger. nelson walters oh boy nelson nelson walters is teaching the seven years has started last year october last october I think some un agreement makes me sad well makes me sad as well obviously that is a false teaching I I don't remember exactly when you're right I mean it's something like that um I try to reach out to him when he started talking that nonsense before it ever came. This whole one year per trumpet or per seal or whatever. Like, this is weird, dude. Like, what are you talking about? And then this thing. It's just bizarre. and so like well I guess I can comment on his on his videos and whatever and it didn't it didn't get any traction so I'm like okay nelson I know nelson I've a long time I know him a lot if you look at old videos we've been in conferences together he's um I've had dinner with the guy several actually uh you know been in private talks with him so like I don't have any bones to pick with. I'm not an enemy. But sometimes folks just, I don't know. Sometimes it's just, I don't know what his motivations are. It's not for, I'm not saying it's for views. I'm not saying it's not. For monetization, I'm not saying it is, but I'm not saying it's not. I don't know. But it may just be as simple as impatience. And sometimes our patience just runs out. And you want to force the issue. You want to force prophecy. The shoehorn. You know what a shoehorn is? I might be dating myself now too with that. You got to shoehorn it in. You make it fit. You got to make it fit because you just can't take it anymore. It's got to be in your lifetime. Maybe you're feeling a little old. Maybe you're feeling like retiring. And man, I never thought it would get to this point. I thought I'd be... I'm at home with the Lord by now. I thought I'd see the Antichrist by this time, but nothing's happening. Maybe I just misunderstood everything, and it's all closer than I thought. I can't tell you the amount of times I've heard that. It's like every time, like, man, not good. Anyways, so I'm not sure what happened exactly with Nelson, but it's sad. It is sad. Thank you. I'm not trying to pick on anybody, but that's not good. Will Hall, seven, seven, seven, seven. Those feelings were inflicted upon us. inflicted upon us children well to be fair to be fair I did go to catholic school first grade through kindergarten through sixth grade but we didn't get the christian school experience either what you're talking about like protestants god Will says, only Jesus. I'm being tired from work on my mind at the moment. Oh, bless the Lord. Another thing is the spirit with many is so not Christ-like. Yeah. If it was imminent, wouldn't you want to make sure you were right with the Lord like more holy living? Yes. Doesn't the Bible say that? Doesn't Peter say that? Yes, it does. It should motivate us to good works. Did you see the day the Lord drawing near? All that jazz. Yes. Yes, if you thought, if you really believed it, if you really believed the rapture was this month, holiness, holy holiness, shouldn't you be preaching the gospel to every creature like never before? Shouldn't you be preparing your family, your friends, nothing but Jesus, all, twenty-four seven, you're worried about their souls every minute because the Lord's coming. You want to go with them, right? You want them to come with you. to grab to heaven in a month or you know in a week or what within three weeks or whatever right now you definitely would not be acting like the world or your fallen self or you know doing your old normal thing for sure too posh for that stuff yeah I don't know about that too too sheltered more like All right.
